Should I Stay at a Downtown or Airport Hotel?

juneau downtown

Downtown hotels put you close to the waterfront as well as many downtown attractions. But if you stay near the airport, you’ll be closer to great hiking and outdoor attractions. It all depends on your preferences and the ease of flying in and out that you want to have.

Staying downtown will immerse you in the culture of Juneau. But staying near the airport will provide you a little more seclusion if you’ve come to Juneau to escape the hustle and bustle. And if you do choose to stay near the airport, you’ll only be a short drive from downtown!

Frontier Suites is a half-mile from the airport and offers an outstanding lineup of amenities. As a locally operated hotel, our staff includes locals who know the best places to dine and recharge after a busy day of exploring. Wondering what hiking trails are best based on your skill level, they can help with that too.
