Ongoing Events
These events happen on a regular schedule that you can integrate into your travels.
- Art for Self Care: in the Articorp building, you can test out whether art helps you relax, de-stress and enjoy some you time. This happens every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
- Friday Noon Organ Concerts: enjoy free concerts that are open to the public at the State Office Building. You’ll hear from the historic Kimball Theatre Organ on the 8th floor every Friday.
- Karaoke at the Crystal: Mondays at 8 p.m., head the The Crystal Saloon for three hours of karaoke.
- Karaoke at the Alaskan: Wednesdays at 8 p.m., sing your heart out at The Alaskan.
- A Felicidade Fridays: The Crystal Saloon hosts A Felicidade for their performance of jazz, Latin and contemporary music each Friday evening at 6 p.m. Entry is free of charge.
- Juneau Piano Series: the Juneau Arts and Culture Center hosts regular performances from skilled pianists. Follow along on the Facebook page to learn whether an event will take place during your stay.
July Events

- July 25 – Kitchen Dwellers with Muskeg Collective: this Montana quartet will perform at 8 p.m. at the Crystal Saloon. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased here.
- July 27 – Juneau Marathon and Half Marathon: see Juneau like you’ve never seen it before – on foot! Take part in the race as you experience the various locations and highlights. For slower runners, this is a great race because there are no time limits and course does not close until every racer finishes. It’s a fun atmosphere ideal for racers of all abilities.

August Events
Enjoy these events taking place throughout August.
- August 6: Michael Franti & Spearhead: this concert is great for all ages and will take place August 6 from 6-10 p.m. His music helps instill a sense of calm in the audience. Tickets cost $85 per person. Buy tickets here.
- August 9-11 – 78th Annual Golden North Salmon Derby: those who enjoy fishing come in for this event. But you can also spectate and watch as people compete for awards totaling $76,000.
- August 14-16 – Tlingit & Haida Men’s Healing and Wellness: this free event takes place at Juneau’s Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall for healing and wellness.
- August 17 – August Ale Trail Bar Crawl: hop from one bar to the next while enjoying exclusive drink specials with your Bar Crawl wristband. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy local ale from 5-11 p.m. Learn more on the event page.
- August 22-25 – 2nd Annual Juneau Tattoo Expo: Head to the Peratrovich Hall August 22-25 to watch live tattooing from up to 80 award-winning tattoo artists. Get your dream tattoo on the spot or watch as others do.
September Events
If you’re planning to get a trip to Juneau in before the tourist season ends, make sure you take part in these fun September events.
- September 7 – Juneau Official Bar Crawl Bingo: visit the best bars in town and socialize with others as you go from one establishment to the other. Enjoy drink specials from 5-11 p.m. as you fill your bingo card on your way to winning cool prizes.

- November 29 – December 1 – Juneau Public Market: this event draws in crowds to shop the various vendors in search of fun and unique gifts for the holiday season. This always takes place Friday through Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend in Juneau.
December Events
- December 6 – Gallery Walk: downtown Juneau closes down its main streets to allow walkers to go through the shops with art from pop-up artists. It’s always held on the first Friday of December.
